Alexander is an artistic director and producer with a history of working on independent productions, major international arts festivals, national tours, ceremonies, in venues and destinations. He was the Artistic Director of the award-winning independent theatre company Brevity Theatre and has held programming and producing roles with Brisbane Festival, Wynnum Fringe, Playwriting Australia, Bondi Feast Festival, the Sunnybank Performing Arts & Cultural Centre, Banff & Lake Louise Tourism in Alberta, Canada and the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games Ceremonies. Alexander is skilled at programming a wide-variety of projects across theatre, music, comedy, circus and multi-arts festivals.
His directing credits include Fully Committed, Being Norwegian, Crocodile Tears, Tender Naplam (Brevity Theatre), Nautilus: A Voyage to the Deep (Monkey Baa), Hamlet, Romeo & Juliet and Macbeth (shake & stir). He was the Assistant Director to David Berthold on Ruben Guthrie for La Boite Theatre. As an actor he has worked with shake & stir, Queensland Theatre, Rocksurfers Theatre Company, Brevity Theatre, Monkey Baa Theatre Company and New Theatre. Alexander has appeared in Reef Break (ABC Studios International), Rake Series 4 (Essential Media & Entertainment), Farscape (Nine Network) and Kangaroo Jack (Castle Rock Entertainment). He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Acting) from QUT and a Master of Applied Theatre Studies from UNE.
